We got involved with the Internet in the early 90’s, starting our first website in 1995.

I'm Daniel Sofer and I started Hermosawave Internet to accomodate the interest in the Internet we were getting from our international multimedia, software and design clients.

At one point we had five people in our company, but now it’s mostly me and a few friends that help out on occasion.

We have created hundreds of websites over the years, from simple one-page “I'm here!” sites, to large database-driven eCommerce sites in multiple languages.

I like simple, classy, minimalist design that communicates the quality of you and your brand, while adhering to the latest web standards.

Our focus is on small businesses and creative entrepreneurs: designers, filmmakers, musicians, photographers. We know what you go through because we are one ourselves.

Photography & Web Design

I have taken photographs all my life, but started shooting professionally in 2002. This dual focus on design and photography pays dividends in most every project we take on.

Some examples:

When we designed a website for the restaurant Sushi Sei, we took photographs on several occasions, all to work into our website design. It was simpler and cheaper for everyone involved.

For the Hermosa Beach Chamber of Commerce website design, we provided our own images and worked with other local photographers to come up with imagery that communicates what Hermosa Beach is about. This required not only curating images, but also retouching and compositing to make them work in our design.

When we designed a website for Hollywood movie photographer Melinda Sue Gordon, we were able to integrate the site into her photography workflow because we use a similar workflow for our own photography.

For Hermosa Beach wedding photographer Cheryl Ogden, we could offer her an approach to managing her website photos based on programming we had done for our own photography website.

We are always looking for simple and elegant solutions to problems, and there are always a number of solutions we can recommend.
